"The interior design and finishes may be the final elements in the construction process, however, if the details are not correct it is unlikely the completed development will reach its potential.". Steve Pippard, Director, Decs Group.

The interior design is tailored to the needs of the clients and the residents. A number of workshops are normally held to establish the needs of both.

The designs are then developed by our in-house team, interior designers and the manufacturers of the fitted and loose furnishings. The scheme designs are then presented to the client for final approval.

Typically on a new development we would ensure the process provides four bedroom schemes to be used and each day-room to have its own theme. On multi-floor developments, each floor (corridor) would have its own design theme.

We also provide all of the incidental items required to operate the home. This includes medical equipment, furniture, curtains, carpets, bedding, televisions and office equipment.

The final task is to select the pictures and mirrors to compliment the design. A typical 40 bedroom home will have approximately 90 pictures and the same number of mirrors.

"At Shackletons we recognise the importance of the furniture design and fabric specifiction. We work closely with the Decs group to ensure the furniture is an integral part of the build design". Jason Bloom, Director, Shackletons Furniture.
