Case StudyCarmel Lodge is a 36 bedroom home for the elderly with dementia, The home is adjacent to a main line railyway track and strict criteria regarding construction had to be complied with. The site investigation confirmed strip foundations, however, during the initial works bad ground was encountered, requiring the re-engineering of the foundations to a raft construction. The team carried out the design, appointed contractors and commenced the raft construction within 7 days. |
